She has been to Taos thirty times, Red River forty, and Albuquerque fifty, and her husband Robert's answer to "what is your favorite trip?" is always the same: "The next one!"

What is your favorite destination and why?
"Europe — the UK, France, Germany, Italy. I love the anticipation of going, the arranging of details, making the dream come true. The memories you bring home are the best souvenirs."
What is your travel philosophy?
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness — that is Mark Twain, and he was right. Every trip makes the world a little smaller and a little kinder. My husband Robert says his favorite trip is always the next one, and that sums up my approach."
Most memorable travel moment?
"A river cruise through the heart of Europe — watching the castles go by from the water. There is no better way to see it. I have been from Vienna to Budapest to the Norwegian fjords and back."
